Very much enjoying learning to play bowls and have managed to find some gear to wear which doesn’t make me look too much of an old bat. (You know my fashion style: I look in the mirror and think, “Is this suitable for a woman of my age?” If the answer is “yes” I go and change.)

News

All Romance Ebooks is having a 50% rebate sale all day, today. Why not grab yourself a bargain?

Am taking part in the Rainbow Group all day chat; my slot is live today at 3pm GMT. Do drop in and ask me (and the other authors) whatever you’d like to ask us. We don’t know the winning lotto numbers, alas, but anything else is fair game.

If you’re interested in registering for UK Meet 2015, there are still places available, just.

Monty Don said on Gardeners' World last night that plants are flowering and re-flowering at odd times all over the country, but not to worry about it. The plants are responding to the very warm wet conditions this year; they're adapting to climate change. But he says that the plants will be OK.

Thank you for the reassurance. I quite like it when plants go loopy. That little bit of the garden is a sun trap though - it's where we have the grape vine and where I once had sweet peas in November.

We have some similarly confused poppies and roses in the garden! It's not nearly as mild up here but still distinctly unseasonal. Mind you, it tipped down at the rugby last night :}

You had a good result, though. And yes, we have roses out and our lobelia thinks it's July!

Not bad considering we have 17 (!) players out on international duty. Scrappy game but we got the result :}
