Over at Speak Its Name.

"I've already spoken about the characterisation being pitch-perfect, and you never need to worry about Cochrane’s historical detail." Coming from [livejournal.com profile] erastes herself, that's a real pleasure to read.

Beautiful review. Made me want to read the book all over again, or even better, re-read the lot of them :)
Yes, I think I'll do just that.

Wonderful review and very much deserved. One thing I love - amongst many - about your books is something she touches on, about it feeling authentic and realistic. It doesn't read like something written now, but the tone is more then. If that makes sense - I think Erastes phrased it better.

Thank you. I suspect it's because I've spent so much time reading books written in and around the Edwardian era, I just sort of fall into the soundalike thing. If that makes sense.

I've not got this far in the series (I tend to wait for paperbacks :)) but can't wait. What a great review!

That was indeed a lovely review. I should have mentioned the fact earlier.

No worries. We had ghosts on our minds. BTW Have woken up today feeling ugh - sore throat and jelly legs. Hope to be well for the morrow, medical updates to follow.
