Two brilliant purchases

I got into my time machine today and went back into the 1950's, aka Romsey. Picked up an intriguing old book in the charity shop: "The Beloved Captain" by Donald Hankey. Full report on that when I've read it.

I also got myself a pair of boots, having struggled all winter to find a comfortable pair that fitted my daft sense of style.

Nice boots. They look good for stomping around. Sometimes it is great fun to have boots for stomping.

Very much so, although teaming them with my 1950s dress on Saturday night did help.
