By the time I write my next newsletter I’ll have attended two things which will be among this year’s highlights, I hope. An Age of Sail fangirls’ ding dong (imagine a teenage sleepover but with grey hair instead of blonde and long dead sailors instead of Chris Colfer) and the England vs Scotland rugby match. Expect incoherence.

Next week sees the Fourth Annual Samhain Café Reader’s Appreciation/Read an eBook Week! I’m there Friday 11th, 9pm to 11pm GMT, which is 4pm to 6pm EST, assuming I’ve done my sums right. Will have guests Alex Beecroft (who’ll behave impeccably) and Jonty Stewart (who won’t). Do drop in and annoy him, here.

On April 11th, I’ll be taking part in my first International Thriller Writers roundtable event. It’s about “What can thriller writers learn from the movies?” As someone who sees her books played out on a screen in her head, I’m looking forward to an interesting discussion.
